It is our mission at Affordable Quality Sourcing, to help other small to medium sized companies navigate the ‘mysteries” of the Chinese Market.
Affordable Quality Sourcing has offices in Scottsdale, Arizona and Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin as well as having team members located in several cities in China including Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dongguang. Who We Are
Affordable Quality Sourcing was founded by Frank Clark, VP of Supply Chain Logistics for a small to mid-sized privately held company that needed to do business in China in order to profitably compete with larger, more established competitors. After years of effort and travels, Mr. Clark was able to develop a reliable network of vendors and factories to support the Supply Chain needs of this company. It soon became obvious that what worked for this company would work for others and that’s when Affordable Quality Sourcing was born.
Frank ClarkVP Supply Chain Frank Clark is the founder of Affordable Quality Sourcing. Frank is a Graduate of the Wisconsin University System where he studied business and finance before joining Zack’s Investment Research as an analyst. It was in this position that Frank discovered the importance of both inventory cost reduction and process improvement and their importance on improving the financial position of companies. After leaving research Frank transitioned into System’s and Operations at Biwer and Associates where he began consulting larger agricultural based companies on business process improvement via software development and implementation of product testing and pricing systems. Frank then entered into management upon taking a position at Northouse Landscape, design build firm, where he helped lead a dramatic turnaround of the company’s operations and performance by implementing a program to better understand and manage both direct and indirect costs while at the same time allowing the business to engage in new marketing initiatives to secure profitable business and grow revenues. Frank’s last job before founding Affordable Quality Sourcing was as VP of Supply Chain Operations for pHion, a Nutritional Supplement Company, where Frank spent over 5 years focusing on product sourcing primarily in China, developing and managing both foreign and domestic vendors and partners including 3rd party co-packaging factories, fulfillment centers and logistics firms as well as outbound shipping to customers. Frank’s passion lies in helping businesses reduce costs through sourcing and product development, vendor and partner selection and the proper use of system software to better manage critical and time consuming processes. Emily LiProduct Manager Emily Li graduated from the Guandong University of Foreign Studies where she focused on English and International Business. During her time in school, Emily took the chance each year to work as an interpreter at the Canton fair during both the summer and winter shows where she helped English speaking purchasing representatives communicate with their counterparts in China. After graduating, Emily took a position the Z-Wing trading company as Assistant General Manager where she worked mostly with Western and Middle Eastern Companies that were purchasing motorcycle and auto parts as well as large amounts of artificial flowers. After several years Emily took a Sales Manager position with Salzgitter GHBM where she handled steel importing and the export of finished products to customers worldwide. The next post Emily assumed was with Creston Asia as a Product Manager focusing on direct sales and technical support to dealers of a Customized Lighting System. We were very happy to have Emily join our team in 2007 where she has been our Senior Purchasing Manger in China. Emily spends her time sourcing products, visiting and evaluating factories, negotiating prices, arranging production, overseeing quality control and handling support issues related to operations.
